My September faves!

My September faves!

HOLD THE FRONT DOOR! How is it already September??? It’s basically next year. So happy new year folks.

Anywho, how are you beautiful people doing?  I’ve been doing fantastic, thank you for asking. I’m gearing up for a new season with many changes and transitions coming up and I am excited about it all. One thing that I know I’m definitely looking forward to is Autumn! I’m ready for oversized sweaters, hot chocolate, knit scarves and wearing every yellow mustard article of clothing I own!

Something else I am also looking forward to doing is sharing with you folks some of my September favorites.  All the products I’m sharing with you all today are products that I live by and love. These are products that I trust in terms of brand ethics as well as what is in them, they are affordable and they do their job. So let’s get into it!

1. Glow Recipe

Watermelon glow pink juice moisturizer ($21 Sephora)

This moisturizer is a game changer! I love, love, love this product. If you’re looking for something to give your skin a fresh, hydrated glow, then baby girl this is the product for you. I have sometimes used this product as a primer, and it gives my makeup a more dewy finish which I have loved this summer. But I mostly use it as a serum.

I press it on to my face with a drop of rosehip oil after a routine face cleanses in the AM and the PM. It has a nice silky finish and doesn’t leave an oily residue on your face. Your skin drinks up all the yummy juices and leaves your face feeling plump, juicy, moisturized and hydrated.

2. Fresh

Soy face cleanser (Standard size $38/ Mini size $15 Sephora)

I love this product because of how gentle it is on my skin. I have very sensitive skin and so if I use any product that is even a little harsh on my skin, I instantly have a breakout.

This product cleanses the face without stripping away any of the moisture that you already have on your skin.

Some facial cleansers that I’ve used in the past don’t wash off all the makeup off of my face as well as I would like it to, so I would normally have to go in with a makeup wipe and also wash my face. But, the soy face cleanser takes off everything including mascara after one good wash. I’m in love!

3. Good chemistry

In the scent, Jasmine Rose ($12.99 Target)

(Sing this part out as loud as you can!) “You got me smelling like a flower garden…”

Good Chemistry is a Target brand. It is a vegan and cruelty-free perfume. And you know how we feel about that, we LOVEEEEEEEE it!!! This perfume smells so yummy! It has a floral scent, thus the name; Jasmine Rose.

I love it mostly because of its wear time. The first time I used it, I was shooketh. I put it on in the morning, went to work from 9:00 am– 5:00 pm, went for a Zumba class and I still smelled good! That how much we love good chemistry.

They have another scent that I had been using called Queen Bee and it was to-die-for, but they ran out of it online and in stores. But that’s also another scent from Good Chemistry that I really, really love.

4. Pixi

Rose caviar essence

I always feel super boujee when I use this product. Let’s take a minute to talk about how much I love Pixi, she definitely understands that a girl is out in these streets on a budget. They have quality products for affordable prices and we know how we feel about that, we LOVEEEEEE it!

I just recently added the Rose Caviar into my stash of skin care products. It’s got a nice juicy, bouncy like texture and it has rose petals in it which I love.

I use this product after I tone my face with the Pixi glow tonic, I have sometimes used it instead of my toner but it hasn’t worked well for my skin. So I use them together and they work wonders.

Those are just a few of my current favorites! What are you folks excited about for this upcoming season? Talk to me in the comment section.

See you all somewhere on the byways and highways of the interwebs.
